366 Days of Maya - Day 323

I've decided that every now and then I am going to include SOOC (straight out of the camera) photo's of Maya; here on the blog and for our family album. Here she is, after a 2 hour nap, sitting in front of our bedroom window. Un-edited all natural, Maya.

This photograph breaks my heart and makes my eyes well up. Is this really Maya? When did she get so big? And where is my tiny newborn? This feels light-years away.

You crazy little girl; mama is having a hard time keeping up with you. EVERYTHING is exciting to you. You loved being carried, you love watching every little thing I do. You love being around people, being outside, being carted around the grocery store smiling at everybody. Today you won a staring contest with the guy behind the deli counter. I moved your morning nap to the afternoon and you napped for a good 2 hours. I needed that break because as soon as you were up it was madness and hilarity once again. You are really really realllly happy to be alive. Everything you do is a little game and you love making me laugh.

Aww, Maya....keep growing, because this is just such an honour and so much fun.

I also have a retraction to make. The grumpy Indian dude had Frankie's watch fixed within the same day. So zero points for spreading cheer and full points for getting the job done. And also, it was Hakim Optics not Laurier Optical. I didn't think it was right to complain about someone and not compliment them when they actually did a good job.

2.5 days until we leave for Dubai. And one *extra special* shoot the day before we leave.
